Executive Biography
Greg Anderson is responsible for overseeing all stages of productions
at Tri Destined Films.
After graduating from Florida A&M University, Anderson joined
his fellow Alums Will Packer and Rob Hardy in producing and theatrically
distributing a film called “Trois”, which landed them at the #34 spot
of the Top 500 Film Distributors of 2000 listed by the Hollywood Reporter
(August 2001), and resulted in the picture being in the Top 50 highest
grossing Independent Films of that Year according to Daily Variety
(July 30, 2001). Following “Trois”, Anderson Wrote, Co-Produced and
Distributed “Pandora’s Box” with Rainforest Films, which was also
highlighted in the Variety and Hollywood Reporter’s Top Lists. He
and Rainforest Films continued their distribution trek with the film
“Lockdown” and their productions blossomed with the film “Motives”
starring Vivica A. Fox, both Columbia Tristar Releases. As Anderson
worked with his classmates at Tri-Destined and Rainforest, he would
travel back and forth to Harvard University, during the summers, where
he immersed himself in writing and directing classes. While studying
at Harvard, Anderson participated in the play: “Hunger and Thirst”
at The Hasty Pudding Theatre, home of the oldest theater company in
America. Through it all, Anderson stayed involved in community service
projects. For many years he has been a motivational speaker, giving
speeches at events including Walt Disney’s Compact Awards, Martin
Luther King Holiday Convocation, and the Clark Atlanta University
Sports & Entertainment Institute.
Since moving to LA, Gregory's feature “The Escort” released via
Sony Pictures and Columbia Tristar Home Entertainment. As well, Gregory
wrote Tri-Destined Film’s “Room For Seven” which is scheduled to be
released later next year. He is currently the writer of a Christmas
project for Michael and Beth Hubbard of Gotham Entertainment, the
producers of the MTV / Paramount film: “Martin Lawrence Live: Runteldat”
called Compton Christmas Treez. Also his latest screenplay Step Show
is currently in production at Sony Screen Gems.
